In-Person Meetup Request
You would like to run an in-person event for the Umbraco community? Wonderful!
We can create a new event on the 'Umbraco Popups, Hackathons and Workshops' meetup group so you have a page to advertise and a way to manage sign-ups so you know how many are attending.
Before you submit the form below please make sure you have an account on meetup.com and are a member of the 'Umbraco Popups, Hackathons and Workshops' meetup group.
We shall create a draft page for your event with the information you provide below, and then will set you as the 'host' of the event. You should then edit the event page as you need, including adding a header image if you have one. Keep 'saving' the page so it remains in draft (private) mode whilst you are working on it.
When you are happy with the page you should:
- Read it one more time! Check you have described the event clearly and have specified the correct start time. Meetup will ask for times in the Danish timezone (unfortunately there is nothing we can do about this). To avoid confusion, we suggest you include the start time in various timezones near the beginning of description of the event in bold.
- 'Publish' the event so that is publicly visible. You can now share the url.
If you are going to start hosting more regular meetups then we can set up your own meetup group (in the correct timezone!) which will allow you to start building your own local community. We can email your event attendees asking them to sign up to your new group. Please email Lotte Pitcher (lpi@umbraco.dk or via the Umbraco HQ Slack if you have access to that) to discuss this.
